Aerodynamics

· NASA - Glen Research Center - NASA’s Glen Research Center provides a thorough introduction to the concepts for aerodynamics; from basic concepts to more advanced aerofoil & lift theory.

· NASA - Glen Research Centre - Simulator - NASA’s Glen Research Center also provides interactive simulators for aerodynamic theory. Here you can experiment with camber, shape and more variables and observe the results.

· YouTube - Orville and Wibur Wright Playlist - This was a series of short videos produced in 2007 by the NASA Glenn Digital Learning Network and Tom Benson, featuring "Orville and Wibur Wright". The brothers discuss many of the scientific topics that lead to the invention of the modern airplane. You can view the videos on-line, or download them to your computer or Podcast player for repeated viewing.

· Pressbooks - Aerodynamics and Aircraft Performance, 3rd edition - Aerodynamics and Aircraft Performance, 3rd edition Intended for undergraduates, this text provides “stand alone” coverage of basic, subsonic, aircraft performance preceded by an introduction to the basics of aerodynamics that will provide a background sufficient to the understanding of the subjects to be studied in aircraft performance. Downloadable versions of this book and further information are freely available.

· Airfoil Tools - A comprehensive database containing lift, drag and moment performance characteristics for different airfoils

· YouTube - Fluid Mechanics 101 - Advanced aerodynamic theories are covered in this series of videos presented by ‘Fluid Mechanics 101’
