Open Educational Resources are free to use and offer students access to hundreds of quality academic papers, journals and books to help in your studies.

Make sure you have your ProQuest login details to hand. These can be found on Blackboard. Also, note you will be required to create a BookBoon account to access and download the textbooks.

Flight Labs

· Civil Aviation Safety Authority - Visual Flight Rules Guide - CASA’s Visual Flight Rules Guide contains information for all facets of visual flight including the arrival and departure procedures at airports. The guide explains the rules in plain English and by using practical information and examples.

· YouTube - Cessna 152 Circuits - This video from Brady Skye shows some examples of flying circuits in a Cessna 152

· YouTube - Full Length Flight | Touch & Goes | Cessna 172 Skyhawk - Another circuit video, this time for Cessna 172 from Aviation 101.

· Flightgear Flight Simulator - FlightGear is a free simulator that can be downloaded on your home computer. 

· Geo-FS - Geo-FS is a free online flight simulator that does not require any downloads and can be accessed directly from your computer.

· YSFlight - YSFlight is another free, open source flight simulator that can be used on your home computer.

· Bold Method - Bold Method contains many useful articles on not only flying techniques but also in-depth discussions on various aircraft systems.

· YouTube- Flight Insight Playlist - Flight Insight on YouTube has a wealth of information in videos regarding procedures and technical flying skills.
